Hello,

Seen here is Symmetry I, the third in a series of sophisticated geometric metal sculptures I am in the process of releasing. It offers a simple elegance with clean geometric lines, symmetry and brushed or patina'd finish.  Since releasing my most complex puzzle (see photo below right) this Spring, I've wanted to create a cube puzzle that is easy to solve and more affordable to produce. Now I have that easier, affordable metal sculpture puzzle in Symmetry I.

I designed this sculpture with twenty interlocking elements made from brass and aluminum. Each piece by itself is an interesting geometric form with a wonderfully smooth feel. I give each piece my signature rounded edges and all parts are tested for a smooth sliding,  interlocking fit. The finished work has a luxurious "fit and feel". Included in the design is a locking mechanism that keeps this weighty piece intact when picked up and/or turned over - meaning it will not come apart unexpectedly. With the simple key (included), you can easily unlock this puzzle to take it apart.

Symmetry I- One complete sculpture shown in pieces

I want to create art that offers something more than just a pleasing outward appearance....to be interactive in some way ...Something that can be touched and contains a secret ........ ART THAT IS CHALLENGING TO THE MIND!

Apart from the material cost, metal is many times more costly than wood to precisely cut and shape, making metal puzzles, when made at all, much more expensive by far than comparable wood puzzles. The list price on Symmetry I is very reasonable for metal sculpture of this size and complexity; one of my lowest cost sculptures. It makes a excellent one-of-a-kind gift and a great conversation piece!

Symmetry I- Brushed Finish

Symmetry I is best displayed on a 3 prong wood display stand as shown in the photo at the top of the page. It creates a stable base with the cube tipped up on one corner. Shipping boxes have an individual compartment for each piece to prevent any damage during shipping. We accept Paypal, credit cards, personal checks and money orders from domestic buyers. Please allow 2 weeks for uncertified funds to clear. We accept Paypal and certified funds from International buyers.

When fully assembled, Symmetry I forms a four inch solid metal cube weighing 8+ pounds! This is a limited edition; each sculpture is dated and numbered. A certificate of authenticity, the special key and assembly information are included with each sculpture. Symmetry I comes ready to assemble!
