Care and Treatment of Your Sculpture

Some Notes About Care and Treatment of Your Sculpture
with a Patina Finish

This is precision metalwork. Do not allow sculpture pieces to drop on the floor as this will cause permanent damage.

DO NOT USE METAL CLEANING PRODUCTS ON SCULPTURES WITH A PATINA FINISH.

Store and display in a dry area. Standing water will cause the sculpture to tarnish/rust. If the puzzle gets wet, Immediately take it apart and dry the pieces off!

Depending on how much you handle the pieces, you can clean and wax the sculpture with pure carnauba wax (a liquid car wax), let dry and buff clean with a soft cloth. This protects the sliding surfaces.

Always take the unit apart on a clean dry surface. Any dirt can cause the surfaces to mar or scratch. Do not force the pieces together as this will cause the surfaces to scratch. Some marks from assembly and disassembly are unavoidable but they will blend in with time.

Make sure you have enough space so the pieces don't bang against each other. Dents are very hard or impossible to fix. For information about restoring pieces or the entire puzzle to brand new condition, Contact me.
