Maxton Plaza is located on the main commercial corridor called Washtenaw Avenue between Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, Michigan. It is less than two miles to Eastern Michigan University, Catherine McAuley Health Center, I-94, US-23, Washtenaw Community College and only four miles to the University of Michigan. Gene Butman Ford is directly across the street. The Plaza offers an excellent location for doing business in Washtenaw County.

G.A.R. Hall was the meeting place for the Women's Relief Corp, Carpenter Post 65, established after the Civil War.
